St George's is a welcoming, happy and diverse Catholic primary school. The school is a smaller than average primary school in a beautiful single storey Victorian building with large teaching spaces and grounds along with excellent facilities.
At St George's, every child really does matter; our dedicated and skilled staff nurture the full potential of every child, developing happy, confident and independent learners.
We are a close knit 'family' school; we are proud of the excellent relationships that exist within our school community and the respect and care that permeates our school.
Learning and progress are at the heart of our work. We set high standards in everything we do and strongly believe in the importance of the core skills of reading, writing and mathematics.
Peace is the goal. Tolerance is the method.
Tolerance is being open and receptive to the beauty of differences.
Tolerance is mutual respect through mutual understanding.
The seeds of intolerance are fear and ignorance.
The seed of tolerance, love, is watered by compassion and care.
Those who know how to appreciate the good in people and situations have tolerance.
Tolerance recognizes individuality and diversity
while removing divisive masks and defusing tension created by ignorance.
Tolerance is the ability to face difficult situations.
To tolerate life’s inconveniences is to let go, be light, make others light
and move on.
